The museum collects, stores, restores, researches and propagates the monuments and showpieces representing the fight of the Lithuanian nation and the Lithuanian state for freedom and independence, which narrate the history of Lithuania, evolution of the arms and military attributes, material and spiritual cultural values, which present Lithuania’s and other countries’ history and the art of war from the ancient times to our days.
The collection of the museum includes archaeological findings, cold arms and fire arms and ammunition sets, which tell us about the development of the Lithuanian state and military history. It also possesses objects and documents of the Lituanica’s flight over the Atlantic, photo negatives and photograph collections, collection of the military uniforms of the foreign countries, documents and books.
Tuesday - Saturday 10AM–5PM
Adults – 2 Eur;
Pupils, students, disabled, seniors – 1 Eur;
Entrance for family (1-2 adults + 1 or more chidren up to 18 y.) – 4,5 Eur.
Additional fee is charged for tours and educational programmes.
